Get Free Cell Phone Calls – No Restrictions!
We all would like to have free calls from our cell phones to any number we like. Wouldn’t it be great to spend three hours talking to your friend/ girlfriend/boyfriend without it costing you a dime? We’ll I’ve come across a great method that enables you to make free phone calls to whoever you want- any time, any place.
Step One
Go to Google Voice and request an invitation for an account. Because the service is still in its infancy you will have to wait a while (could be hours, could be days) until you receive an invitation. Once you’re on Google Voice, set up your account to match the settings in the screenshot.
Then, when you have your Called ID setting adjusted so your Google Voice number displays when you ring people, give your cell phone a ring and take note of the number. Setting your Caller ID to display is also what allows the free calls from Google Voice.
Step Two
This largely depends on your network but most services (especially bill pay) offer you the opportunity to elect a certain amount of people you can call for free. Simply make your Google Voice number one of these numbers. You can now access your Google Voice account for free via your phone.
Step Three
Then, on your Google voice account set up some numbers you would like to make free calls to (numbers such as all of your friends, family, work, the local pizza place etc…).
Now you’re all set up and you can make as many free calls as you’d like by simply dialling you Google Voice number. Enjoy!

Hi I just like to know why you say in your page that phone calls can be made free of cost with google voice but when I look at the google voice page, it say that international calls can be made a lower rate, means they are not free right?
I just want to make sure because my girlfriend lives in South Africa and it will be nice to call her free, but it looks like there is no way to do it for free. Please reply. Thanks

Unfortunately, because Google Voice is only available in America at the minute, only national calls are free. International calls will cost you.
One free service I can suggest for calling your girlfriend would be Skype. It’s free and high quality. You can have it on your phone (depending on model) or simply use your PC.
